In photos that I have seen of the blue/black scales there seems to be a huge difference between the scales. Some are mostly black with blue highlights (which I prefer), and others look bright blue with black accents. Can anyone tell me which is more common or give me an idea of what I can expect if I order one of these?

Thanks!

Best bet is to e-mail Rob and ask if they have one in stock with your preferences.

Here's my 3.5"..

We have the darker of the 2 currently (like the above pic), its all how they are layered and they are never the same.

Blue black (I have the darker one) is awesome. I was kind of 'meh' from pictures but its really great.

I'd planned to sell it and buy a jade green (like the swamp one, too) but after seeing it in person, I'll stay with blue black.

One of absolute favorite scales (can't believe I don't own one )
Like but don't have a marsh color either.

I've got a mix of colors and sizes. Many of us do. I see them all as mostly "place-holders" until I can outfit all my XMs with texture Ti.

Don't underestimate the trans green scale my friend. The B/B & Jade are a nice pair to change out from time to time. As much as I love the B/B, the Jade is still my fav. What makes them both so appropriate for me is that they're so different. I'll have that knife for the rest of my life so a fresh dress up is part of the deal for me. I'll probably do that each time I break it down for cleaning 'n lubing.

Well, yeah. You're right. I suppose I'll end up with the jade. What I really meant was that I don't plan on getting rid of the blue black scale. I didn't think I would favor it, but seeing it, I was wrong.

It's always nice to have an excuse to post a pic or 2. ;)
