Hinderer brotherhood and a trip to Sears

Wasn't sure what to expect, always try and buy good tools. Started buying Craftsman back in the early 80's partially because of the warranty, built in the USA, and that was affordable quality at the time. So, one tool was a garden rake that I broke years ago. On my way to go do hardworking today I figured I'd swing by Sears and see about this rake.
So, I'm standing there staring at rakes young guy comes up and asks if he can help and we get talking about the rake and how he had never seen one like this. He was probably 20ish the rake had him by 10+ years at least.I pulled my knife out to cut some of the tape off and I heard him gasp, "Is that a real Hinderer?". He pulled out his Gerber Hinderer and a friendship was born. Needless to say the rake got exchanged and other than the wife wanting to know why it took an hour all was well.
Good day.

It is awesome to "be in the know".
Now, is the new friend gonna join in all the fun to be had in this little corner of the Internet?
It is not required that one owns a Hinderer to play here.
Even though activity slows from time to time, a ton of unseful information flows here.

Funny you ask, I did tell him about the Forum and invited him to join. He was very excited. Nice young Man, I was happy to see a sign "We are Hiring" in the window as well. I have seen a couple of those lately, lets hope.
I see now the deeper reason for Rick's collaborative efforts. The young Man at Sears was very very proud and happy with his Hinderer.
Good Stuff.

The collaborations help to fill some gaps. I like that they happen.

Hiring signage, sweet. Now if....ok, not gonna get political. Any sign of true recovery is ok with me.

That is pretty cool, ive never run into another enthusiast by chance meeting. Ive educated a few coworkers who have since picked up one of the new zt hinderers. They simply love their new knife (as they should) but are amazed when i break out the real deal.

Much like the fortuitous trip to Sears afforded a nice interaction that was as welcome as it was unexpected, I see some members stopping by and visiting,
Hope to see more of you :)
You may have Hinderers or maybe will BUT this is a good place to hang out no matter what.
