Hello

i have got an XM-18 gen.4 on the secondary market.
I am the third owner of this knife and I don’t have information on the birth date of the knife

How can I get the year of production of the knife?
 
I have never owned one of the newer models, but believe they now come with birthcards. The older ones did not and the closest you can get is the generation duration dates. You may or may not be able to narrow it a little by blade steel.
 
Hinderer doesn't do birthdates like CRK. The current 3" models are 4th gen, but I'm assuming you're talking about the 4th gen 3.5" models. Those were in production from late 2011 through the beginning of 2018, when the lockbar insert was added, making the 5th generation.
