I have just got an Hinderer 3.5” tri-way that has recently been released
I have been amazed by how good this knife is
I run it on bearings for now and it is the smoothest knife I have got out of the box. Only second to my Koenig Mini-goblin

I already have a ZT 0393 and I have been surprised to see how different they are
Actually two very different knives
I was planning to keep only one of them, but I will keep both

the Hinderer feels like a beast and a real user
The ZT feels more delicate and makes a great EDC, the overlays are give it a nice character

Congratulations.
I have one just like it, plus an Orange one.
I had to send the orange one back for such a poor action and the Blue/Black version is almost as bad.
However, every XM-18 I've had is as smooth as what your talking about.
Honestly, I am so dam glad to hear that your Tri-Way Elkipse 3.5 is that good. It gives me hope for mine now.
 
I had to return my XM-18 gen.6 for a poor action myself.
Very happy my Eklipse is great.
I prefer the design of the Eklipse over the XM-18 in general

after my disappointment with the tri-way XM-18 I sold my 0562 and got an old gen.4 XM-18

the 0393 and the new Eklipse are great

Yeah, I love the Eklipse. Evidently, things can just happen.
Btw, was The Ranch able to get the XM-18 to your liking?

I returned the XM-18 to the dealer

I plan to try another one later.
I think it was a lemon and no bad feelings for Hinderer in this one

my triway half track is great and the Eklipse is even better.
I am very exited to see what will be the next run of tri-way ... hopefully a nice fatty

Yeah man, The Elkipse Harpoon Tanto in Tri-Way was my grail Hinderer. I really hope they can get both of mine sorted out....I would love to see a Harpoon Spanto next....

To me, the Harpoon Tanto is ideal for the Eklipse.
Again, I'm very happy to hear that yours is so smooth. Just prolly a bad set of bearings on both mine.
 
After a couple of days the harpoon tanto blade shape is growing on me
It really matchs the lines of the Eklipse
