I know the blade is stonewashed finish. But is the lock side of my Hinderer xm-18 also stonewashed? It surely has a different (darker) color. Many online Hinderer pictures show the lock side and the blade have the same color/finish. I am just curious. Thanks.

I may be wrong but I believe that is the "working" finish

Hinderer stonewashed (first one below) and working finish are different.

RamZar - thx for the pics. So what is the finish of the xm 18 in the OP?

I think the picture in post 1 is the Hinderer Working Finish for the handle. Blade looks stonewashed.

For the Working Finish they first sand blast it and then they stonewash it. It has a more matte finish than stonewashed, more anti-reflective and "wears" well.

Here is every combo I could find in the shop.

Left to Right 1st Battle Black Ti Working Finish Blade, 2nd Working Finish Ti with FDE Blade, 3rd Full Working Finish, 4th Battle Blue Ti with Working Finish Blade, 5th Blue Anodized with Stonewashed Blade, 6th Bronze Anodized with Stonewashed Blade, 7th Full Stonewashed Ti and Blade, 8th Working Finish Ti with Battle Black Blade.

Thank all you guys. Whitty - it is very kind of you for providing these pictures. Have not purchased from you but I am sure I will do in the near future.

Thanks for posting these Whitty. I'm new to the forum but have a question about the battle blue finish vs. the anodized blue finish; Does the anodized blue show "snail trails" easily? I like both finishes but I would think the battle blue would be less prone to scratches and snail trails.
