Hinderer Gerber Knife

How come this knife doesn't get much publicity here? How is it?

I've never seen that before.

Hinderer may have helped with the design, but it's still manufactured by Gerber, and their quality control is hit or miss in my opinion. Any Gerber folders I have owned have had lots of blade play. Just my opinion.

I believe it was designed by rick and Is called the torch 2

This Torch 2 is another Hiderer design. Just look at that closed shot, it looks almost identical to the XM18.

It's $20 apparently, I'm gonna give it a shot.

fwiw, i have this one:

i don't like the tanto designs, but this little drop point is pretty cool, although it is small.
considering what i gave for it, < $20, it's a decent little knife.
locks up solid, no blade play, decent fit and finish for a gerber.
the edge angle was a little steep, but i fixed that and it cuts just fine.

I didn't know Hinderer designed a knife for Gerber. That knifecenter knife looks just like the xm-18.
