I have just received a hinderer frame lock. It opens with the thumb stud. It is darn near impossible to open. On the frame side of the knife there is an arm (I know this isn't the term) that is released as the blade is opened. It appears this "arm" applies pressure to the blade to hold it in place when closed. I see a small piece on the end of arm held in place by a screw. Is this a device to increase or decrease the pressure on the blade. Would loosening the screw decrease the pressure on the blade thereby making the knife easier to open? To add, can a lock bar stabilizer that is too tight or loose be the problem?
