  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

So I stupidly loaned my skinner out to my foreman to cut some fiberglass insulation off of 1\2" copper water lines last week. . I've done it hundreds of times without damaging the knife, but he managed to mangle the edge. There is a 1\2" section of rolled and chipped out edge, and it's beyond my ability to fix. I need it done faster than Rick can get it done. Who would you guys recommend to sharpen it here on the forums? Please keep in mind I'm a low paid pre apprentice.

How do you know how long it would take RHK to fix it? Have you contacted them?

Last time I contacted them they said to send it in to them within a 2 month window, so I assumed wait time was a couple months. Is that incorrect?

I can't say as I don't know. I would suggest you get in touch with Rob Orlando tomorrow and ask him.

I've never sent one in for sharpening or spa but what I've read repeatedly is how quickly they sort out customer issues surprises most/all in a positive way.

Most times, when the shop is fully staffed, the turn around time is measure in days (not months). Contact them as already stated a few times.
