Hinderer Investigator Pen- will the fine space pen refills fit?

What's up guys.

Quick question, will the fine space pen refills fit with the investigator pen? I see on the website that it states Bold refills will fit... I don't know if there is a difference between fine and bold in terms of diameter and fit to the pen.

I inadvertantly have used fine and medium from time to time and they fit no problem.
I like the bold better so I was bummed to discover my mistake but fitment wasn't an issue.

I tried a bold once and it skipped a bit. Did I just get a bad one?
 
As with the vast majority (if not all) of things RHK, it wasn't an accident they outfit the I-Pen with "Bold" fills.
They write the best IMO.
