I'm kinda in love with the knife but not the price. What models or styles have you seen that come in under the epic 200 dollar mark if any?

This isn’t a Hinderer knife but is a Hinderer designed collaboration with Zero Tolerance. Check out the ZT 0550. You should be able to find it for around $200. If you can find the 0551 for around that price, even better since they were a limited edition with the ELMAX blade. Again, not a Hinderer but closest I think you can get for the price.

There's a Kershaw knife, the Cryo, that should be out soon, that is a Hinderer collaboration. It has a very Hinderer-esque shape, but looks like it is gonna retail at like 30-40 dollars. You aren't gonna find an actual Rick Hinderer knife for 200 bucks though...

The Inron MY803 is a copy of the XM18 and it's quality is on par with Sanrenmu's and Enlan's, is that good enough?

Zip, Zero, Zilch, No, None, Nada.
Unless You Get A ZT/Hinderer, Kershaw/Hinderer, Gerber/Hinderer Collaboration OR A Knock Off, You're Not Going To Find One In The $200 Or Less Range.

I'm patiently waiting the day the Cryo comes out. It's one hell of a bargain for a Hinderer design.

Another vote for the ZT 0550. I have the Elmax steel 0551 and love it. If that doesn't float your boat, save up for the ZT 0560/0561 which is very similar to the XM-18 or 24.

The closest you'll find to the quality and fit and finish of a Hinderer folder are going to be the ZT collaborations 0550 series and 0560 series.

The 0550 comes in very close to the $200 mark.

I've seen 0560's listed on the exchange for ~240 or so

If you are willing to shell out 200 bucks, you should be able to give it another 40 or so more

That sounds like a very good deal. Even $60 more for a 0560 series doesn't seem out of line if the OP is looking for a flipper.

Assuming that you aren't limiting this to just folders (you posted "knife")... The Hinderer Flashpoint. It's a small fixed blade necker type, but still under $200... ;)

You can get a pretty good copy for around $100 (by good copy i mean it looks just like a real hinderer). I wouldn't recommend it though. My votes for the Zero Tolerance 0550 hinderer collaboration. It's a very high quality knife and shares a lot of the same aesthetics and functionality of a hinderer. For a real hinderer your best bet is is to become a firefighter and wait till rick starts selling knives directly again :)

*bump*

If you can wait a little longer, Kershaw is coming out with a larger 3.25" bladed version of their Cryo.

Thomas just posted a pic in their subforum - it's in the latest 'Cryo' thread; and it is sweet! :)
