I have a small knife collection mainly spyderco and a couple of microtechs thinking about spending the 400 for a xm18 to have that knife in my collection what are some of your thoughts

If you are LEO or MIL or EMT you should definitely do it. Or if you can just find one for that price. Be careful though if buying on the secondary market, there are some non-genuine ones out there.

For $400 (need to be military, police, fire, or emt to get one at that price) I'd buy one in a heartbeat. If you don't like it they sell for $700-1000 on the secondary market.

I just received my XM-18 3" slicer grind yesterday. It's an amazing knife.
Fit and finish are top notch, the blade comes very sharp out of the box and it feels organic in your hand.
I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
If you qualify for the first responder price it's a no brainer.

Cheers

Worth every penny. It's a knife that gives the feeling of reliability and capability. That brings about great confidence to the user.

Also, as I am finding out,the best part of Hinderers is that you get alot of support from them if you have any problems and or needs for the knife.

I think if you're willing to spend that kind of money you would know whether you wanted the knife or not.

At that price, I would take it. High quality knives and if you grow tired of it, it is relatively easy to sell as it is highly sought after.
