I tried searching and couldn't find an answer. Do the armor tools for the 3" fit the 3.5" and XM24's or is there different tools for the different sizes?

My stainless tool fits all 3 sizes enough to adjust and disassemble /reassemble my XMs.

The tool will fit the pivot of all three sizes. But, the tool comes with a 5/64" hex bit which only works on the 3.5" and 4.0" hex head standoff screws, the 3.0" uses a 1/16" hex bit that you will have to seek out independently (online might be your best option, they can be hard to find locally). While you are it, purchase a Phillips #1 as well which works for the screws on most of the pocket clips.

Stripped one of my 3" screws and dented the pivot screw not using the right size so I'd suggest being patient and seeking out the proper size.

That sucks. Now use the heck out of the knife to matched the hardware. Think of all the fun that can be had.

Seriously, though...bummer on the stripping and such. Lesson learned.

For all interested...here's a link to some related info (to which I added photos of the tool as my contribution).

Its OK, I've even come close to stripping a 3" screw using the right size 1/16" bit. I had to make my own tool out of a slightly larger hex so it fits very tight in the screw, because if you put the 1/16" bit in there & there is any play when you turn it back & forth, the chances of stripping it are high. I've not had any issues on the 3.5" screws though, I use a 2mm hex instead of the 5/64" because it's slightly larger & has a snug fit so I'll never strip a screw.
For the pivot I've been using various objects that will fit that are soft as to not scratch or dent the pivot. Pennies work great, just dremel a hollow spot for the lock side & a reg penny for the other side & I have not got any scratching that way.
