Zoee (my dog) and my XM-18 3.5 and 3.0 are on vacation. They are where everybody wants to vacation in the winter......North Dakota. We are off pheasant, sharp tailed grouse and Hungarian partridge hunting. So far a great trip with the XM-18 3.5 doing its thing cleaning pheasant and sharp tail.

Looks like a wonderful way to enjoy the fall!!!! I've never tasted Pheasant, but would love to someday!

Wanted to try a Partridge (once) Fell out of the tree and landed right dead center on a Pear - that was an embarrassing trip to the E.R. "Sir, mind telling us How exactly you ended up with a pear up your ........"

Then moved on to Pheasant, everytime I broke the Glass "Damn, Glass in the Pheasant AGAIN" that got expensive.
I got fired from that Waiter job.

:) Looked like Fun BH

We are on the way home now. It was a great trip with lots of pheasants, Sharp tail and Huns. We were hunting around Hettinger, ND. Just about 80 miles east of the Mt. boarder on Hwy. 12 and about 3 miles north of SD. This was our 10th year of going there. I will post a few more photos when I get home tomorrow. Thanks Need2Know she is a wonderful friend, partner and a mighty hunter. This was her 9th year. She started her hunting career there when she was 10 months old. Mapirk, I think you are in OR. if you are ever in the Tri-Cities look me up and I will make you a pheasant dinner and we can talk Hinderers.

What a Great Adventure! Good Pics, Great Knife, Mans "Best Friend" and a proud looking example at that. Good Eating and time in Gods Country....
Doesn't get any better than that.

Hello, I loved your hunting report and very nice photos!! I have to tell you that the name of your Dog "Zoe or Zoee"has some historical coincidence and significance.
Historically from the "Old Hawking Club" precursor to the British Falconers Club the most famous Arctic grey Gyrfalcon was named "Zoee" It had a wonderful hunting success
on Red Grouse in Scotland and then went to the Royal Loo Club in Holland where it took several scores of large cranes!!! Remember this breed is the largest falcon in the world. Back in
those days 1880s and 1890s Gyrfalcons were almost impossible to get!!
