Even though I just got this knife, I feel like sharing the first impressions.
It's a Hinderer XM-18, 3rd generation custom ground satin finish blade, black G10 scale.
The size is just right IMO. The blade length is 90mm (3.54") tip to handle. The grip part of the handle (flipper to butt) is about 4". That’s nice, I get a firm full grip.
You can grip the knife with the flipper between index and middle finger. That should help quite a lot for delicate cutting.
The grinds are very nice, crisp and symmetric. What I appreciate is you got a nice continuous edge like on a single ground blade. The tip looks flat ground; the rest of the blade is hollow ground. It cuts really well.
The flipper is small enough not to hurt you much inside the pocket. It flips nicely with minimal wrist action.
I'll keep the pocket clip tip-down. When you have the knife in hand the clip isn't in the way at all. The flipper is near the edge of the pocket as opposed to deep inside the pocket with tip-up.
What impresses me most are the mechanics of this knife. There is ZERO blade play. Glassy smooth opening. The blade is dead center. The lockup is great, yet the unlocking is smooth. A good example of tight tolerances!
All in all, I’m happy about this purchase. It definitely makes it into my EDC rotation.

Congrats, Flava.
It's a beauty and thanks for your very well stated first impressions.
