Hinderer XM-18 regrind

Just finished this up the other day so figured I'd post up! Love working on Hinderers as you can just feel the quality and solid-ness of these things.


Full hollow ground to 220 grit, 15 dps w/ a toothy 1k grit edge on the Wicked Edge. This edge is around .014" thick or so at this angle. The factory edges I have seen on RHK's are around .030" thick at 25 dps, which would tranlate to around .040" thick at 15 dps if you reprofiled it. So this is a drastic improvement to cutting ability!

That looks fantastic! I bet a Zt 562 would benefit greatly from this type of regrind. Calling it a slicer grind from the factory is a stretch at best.
