The Pallas is thinner and nearly an ounce lighter than the XM-18 3.5", while also being comparable in length to the larger Fulltrack. If you want a bigger knife that carries very well, the Pallas is definitely the way to go. You do have more customization and steel options on the XM-18 though. If action is a huge concern, the gen 6 XM-18s are great flippers, where the Pallas is a little different, and won't have the same crisp detent as a framelock. It still opens via the flipper without any need for a wrist flick. The button lock means it is very fidget friendly as well.
If I had to pick one to carry and work with every day, I would pick the Pallas hands down.
