BTW did you polish this yourself? Care to share what you did?

Yes, I did that myself. Nothing special really. XM's came with at least a fine 500 grit smooth finish under stone wash, it had a head start comparing with my two Spyderco's rough grind finish. Which took close to 7x the 6 hours each for the XM.

All one needs is an assortment of wet/dry and patience. Making sure all scratch are removed before moving up the grit progression.
