Hinged sheath

Gentlemen

I'm thinking of making a sheath for a small knife(OAL 7") that has a "hinged" cover that locks the handle into the sheath. Also kind of disguises what inside.

Am I nut or is there examples out there? Will post photos of WIP when I start it.
