what type of hippo tooth did you use? curved lower or straight upper? it looks great

I haven't worked with any hippo tooth yet, but i read that the straight teeth don't have the super thick dentine layer that the big lowers have, so they are less likely to eat up bandsaw blades, etc.

This is the first time I have used this material and had no problems sawing shaping or polishing, I did find it a little gummy for drilling so a new or very sharp drill bit would recomended

i read on a site that sells ivory that the enamel on the big lowers will throw sparks on your metal cutting bandsaw. Those straight uppers are a hell of a lot cheaper than anything from any pachyderm, new or ancient or walrus. I may have to grab a couple of those uppers and see if I can screw them up...lol

The only problem with that knife is that it's too nice to actually use:cool: Seriously - that's one fine looking knife. Good job!
