I need to stop visiting knife websites. All the pictures of beautiful knives are making it hard for me to maintain my self-control. It doesn't occur often, but once in a while I come across a knife that I just gotta have. This is the third time its happened.

I came across this knife last week. Bam! It was lust at first sight. The stainless bolsters, flat-ground blade, and popcorn-esque stag all combined to make one gorgeous knife. I know that the pictures aren't that great, but trust me on this one this knife is special. It just might be the most beautiful knife I own.

Fit and finish are first rate. The stag as you can see, is exceptional. I don't know what else to say, so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Congrats.. I really like Ohtas knives. Don't own one, but I like em :D

People would have a lot more money if this internet thing had never gotten started

Mr. Ohta makes some lovely knives and I do want one, quite badly. Pictures on dealer's websites and on this forum are not helping to alleviate the situation at all.

Very nice score. Ohta makes a great knife - I have 3 of them, including the model you got. It's one of my favorite EDC's.

Looks like I need a 4th Ohta. :D I really like that pattern. Congrats!

Beautiful knife but be careful they are addicting...

I was eyeballin' that one myself. It's probably the nicest Ohta Knife Art has shown on their site in quite a while. Just the right size for EDC too. Congratulations.

Now that is a beautiful knife. All the lines are pure like single slightly curved line. Very nice knife,

Here is a pic I took of 3 really nice ones at a well known LA store. The Remington pattern trapper was a really nice knife and I nearly bought it....Now I am sorry I did'nt......

I only received this knife yesterday, so needless to say I spent a couple of hours chicken eye'n and coon fingerin' it last night. Got so bad that my wife had to remind me to go to bed. This Ohta is the first time I received a knife with this blade shape. I'm not sure what it is exactly, maybe a modified Wharncliffe?

For those that are thinking about getting an Ohta knife you won't be sorry. His work is just great and his knives are a wonderful exemplar of the cutler's art.

Alfa, you can rectify your little oversight. That Bullet Trapper you liked so much is still available.

I've got two Ohta's that I like so much I'm thinking of buying a third - and it would be a duplicate pattern. For the money you can't beat his work!

Mike
