  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I have a Hirschkrone hunter's folder, just like Puma 945, but with a birdhook. It is not old because backsprings and locking lever are stainless, though a bit darker than the blades, and the name is not stamped but just painted. Only Rostfrei Solingen are stamped in the blade bases. However, the knife works flawlessly. As I understand, Hirschkrone is not a company name, but a trade mark. There a few mentions on this name in some threads, but nothing definite. Who could tell me what is it and whom does this trade mark belong?

That is the company that owns the brand. I'm not sure if they've owned they brand since it's inception, but they've had it for quite a number of years. They were offering their own Jagdmesser pocket knives a few years ago, but seemed to have stopped. Now they offer the Hubertus line, who might of been a contractor years ago for them perhaps, given that they are similar.

I had always liked the Bund knife (Air Force) knife that they had made for the German forces.
