Some debris lodged itself into the washer area of my hissatsu folder so I disassembled it. I removed the top zytel scales, and began removing the metal plate covering underneath.

But as I removed the top metal plate the cylindrical piece connecting the two metal plates right above the pivot screw, flew off to no where. I heard it hit the floor but cant for the life of me find it. I dusted, sweeped, and scanned the entire area where I was disassembling.

CRKT offers replacements parts but I dont see the part I am looking for listed:
http://www.crkt.com/replacementparts

Whats the piece called?

The part you need is "blade stop pin". Not listed on parts request site.
Just ask for that part in mail.

Look some more. The knife is useless without that part. It HAS to there!:)

I hope its not in the huge pile of dust, hair and debris I sweeped up? I checked multiple times and zip. I mean the piece is not THAT small

What the hell!! CRKT said they were going to mail the blade-stop pin and then they just emailed me saying they dont have the part available and its backordered!:thumbdn:

damn, the blade stop pin is on backorder - CRKT has no idea when theyll be available.

Next time I would clean the blade without taking it apart. Taking it apart usually voids the warranty and thing slike what happened to you happen. I learned my lesson after disassembling my SOG Trident.

yea I was hoping not to but I didnt see any other way of getting that damn piece of debris out, whatever it was. Plus, I wasnt expecting the pin to just fly away and land in a seemingly impossible location to find.

oh well, hopefully CRKT will get restocked soon
