Hollow ground first attempt in this style...Still a WIP as far as style goes IMO.
There are several other versions on the bench ready for HT, lets see which one is worth keeping;)

Kidd I like it!! You will eventually settle into your own style over time, I dont even know if I myself have a style yet,LOL but keep up the good work!!!

Personally, I think that, if you're going to have a smoothly curving edge, having that grind-distinction (there's a name for it in Japanese, surprise surprise, which I don't remember, surprise surprise) strikes me as at best as an un-functional showoff feature (which goes against my taste, although YMMV) or, worse, evidence that you don't have the skills to do the grind fluidly if you wanted to.

Again, just my opinion, but you asked...

Yes I did ask.
Explain a Fluid grind...Please
Do you mean a full convex or a flat grind?
Ahh over dinner I figured out what you meant. The grind was done deliberately to have an angle to contrast the curved edge.
The CRKT version is done the same way except they use a flat grind.
Have a Convex Chisel grind that will be done tomorrow, it is plenty fluidlee...

First, I am not a knife fighter, but the knife looks wickedly fast.

Secondly, got love anybody who has a beagle as an avatar

Well, I'm glad it's not a matter of skill, then. IMO, it's still kinda tacky as decoration, but that's entirely on me, not on you.

I like the overall design, the only two things I'd do are:

bring the bolster forward a bit more - there's a lot of null space there and you have the room to move the bolster up some.

and make the clip match up even with the grind. It may be unclear due to the angle of the photos but it seems like the clip starts at a different point from where the grind is. That's one of those little detail things I don't always get right.

i really like the overall design and materials choices.

Maybe this is a little better in the grind Flow dept.
More pics in Shop Talk
There is a shadow on the flat and primary grind but that's all they are just shadows.

I would say well done on both. :cool:This is not an easy grind to do well, whether it be flat, convex or hollow. IMO the trick is give the sense of a nice fluid transition, but still giving a distinct delination where the transistion is. Very tricky and I have only seen a couple done well. I can't remember who did them. Keep evolving this one. I think some bronze would really set this off. Maybe a bolster or even a very slight and subtle guard.

Keep going!
