history 124 frontiersman

in the late 70s or early 80s i aquired a 124 with the black haft-wrist thong hole in pommel and 1-2 inches of serrations(factory made) on the sharp edge of the knife,can anyone help with identification or history of this model?

Use the "Search this thread" function & type in 122 or 122 Nemo. You'll get all the info you need from the past discussions on the knife you're asking about.
 
your knife was made apx 1970.
it was less then a one year issue as you describe
if it came with a rubbver sheath it was called a nemo
if with a leather sheath the fronteersman.
they are verry scearce and collectable in new condation !!!!
i used mine hard in 71 as a camp knife
it is still very usefull today
as a dive knife it left a lot to be desired compared to todays dive knives
-that is from my personal experance
