Near St. Petersburg. I guess it was discovered in a previously and difficult terrain area of the forests..The plane is in remarkable shape..probaly ran out of fuel in the winter of '44...anyway check it out..

It amazes me still that there are unexplored places left in the world.

Nice find. Interesting

The condition is amazing considering.......
Here is a pic I took of the one in the RAF Museum in Hendon.

I find it telling that whoever filmed this found it necessary to zoom in on the swastika so many times instead of filming more of the plane. I also would have laughed my butt off if a raccoon (or whatever) had come boiling out when that guy opened that access door...lol.

A guy I used to know grew up in Krakow. He said that one day someone drove a Panzer into town. They were always finding stuff in the woods.

Thats a pretty crazy find for those guys.
I didnt see a dead pilot in there ? I suppose he probably bailed out or died draging him self though the woods or something.

He probly walked away from it, FW190's were built like tanks.
My dream ride is a FW190 Dora.

That one is in amazing shape, won't be hard to get that up to flying condition.
They pulled one out of the sea awhile back which is being restored right now.

That is amazing. I recently was reading about the Sturm Staffeln, which used heavily armed and armored 190's to tangle with the B-17 formations.

very interesting to me to see the real world painting and markings of the plane rather than a grainy 40's film or a museum grade restoration. awesome find!

Wow!!! That is abot as rare as you get when it comes to a fighter that was actually produced in decent numbers!! Anyone know if that is the radial powered model or the one with the liquid cooled Jumo engine? It looks like the earlier model because it doesn't seem to have the "cut and paste" stretched tail.

It would be a great sight to see this old war bird flying again ...fingers crossed some wealthy Russian pays to get the old bird back in the air.
