i have a knife that was given to my father from his father (or my grandfather) my grandfather fought in the second world war, and he brought this knife back with him. it does have engravings on the blade that read as follows. Martindale Birmingham Made in England. it is also stamped with a number the number is No. 227. i would like to find the history on this knife. if anyone knows anything about this, or would have any suggestions on a web page or link to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
