History of Boker Tree Brand?

I would like to buy my dad an old stag tree brand because he does not carry a knife but he might carry this one and I have heard that the older ones are some of the best ever made. It would probably be rusty and need some cleaning so also how would I do that? If there are any websites with boker history or you know some that would be great! Also, did they ever make lockbacks?

There was a post a while ago, most likely in 2000, that described the history of the brand in great detail. Do a search and you'll find it, probably in the archives...
