Anyone familiar with the CS kukuri's? I've got a Gurkha Kukuri from Taiwan that is just superb. I just picked up a carbon V black coated kukuri that has never been used that comes in the black leather sheath with the Cold Steel stamp and Carbon V and made in the USA. That is on the left side of the blade near the ricasso/spine area. Anyways as compared to the Gurkha Kukuri it seems about .125" thick along the spine as compared to the way thicker Gurkha kukuri. Extemely light in the hand and very fast. So is the one I just bought a machete or LTC model etc.etc. So if anyone knows without a pic posted let me know. thanks

Sounds like what I think was called the Mini Gurkha Lite back in the early 00's. I bought one as my first khuk before going down the Himalayan Imports rabbit hole and never looking back. It was a small machete-like khuk made out of thin Carbon V stock. Nice knife. Plenty sharp. That old Carbon V stuff was good.
