History on this knife?

US army hospital corpsmans bolo. Made by Camillus? I thought all were made at the springfield armory.

Not much interest in this knife, is right. Not that it isn't a nice collectible, but knives used by the combat arms are much more interesting and exciting to collectors. Like fighting knives, stilettos, ect. A tool like this used by a pfc to clear a bit of land for the hospital tent just doesn't conjure up much romance or excitement.

I know Camillus made a folding machete many years ago. I have never seen one like that before. Better wait for Tom (Camco) to show up.

I saw that machete listed on Ebay and I asked the seller for additional informaton. The seller did not respond.
I do not believe this model was made by Camillus. I have never seen anything in the records at Camillus that even resembles this machete.

Camillus didn't make it. The SA stands for Springfield Armory. I'm not accusing the seller of trying to pull a fast one, but we Schrade collectors noted, at the end of that company, a lot of people tossing the Schrade name onto all kinds of knives.

I asked the seller where, if at all, the knife was marked as Camillus. His answer:

"It doesn't say it on it like the other ones we have sold, but we did some researching.
Thank You,
Paul"
