Downfall, also known as “Hitler Finds Out…” or “Hitler Reacts To…” is a series of parody-subtitled videos based on a pinnacle scene from Der Untergang (2004), a German WWII drama revisiting the last ten days of Adolf Hitler’s life and eventual suicide in his Berlin underground bunker. Due to the film’s international success and Bruno Ganz’ haunting portrayal of the Nazi dictator, numerous segments from the movie soon fell fodder to hilarious parodies on YouTube, spawning hundreds of anachronistically subtitled videos of Hitler getting upset over topical events and trivial gossip.

Der Untergang[1] is a 2004 German war epic film directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel and based on the book “Inside Hitler’s Bunker.”[13] In the climax scene, Hitler (played by Bruno Ganz) hears from his generals that the final counter-offensive against the Soviets never took place and Germany’s defeat is imminent. Hitler then orders everyone to leave except the four highest-rank generals, who oblige and listen nervously to his breakdown:

Hitler, like many other "experts", doesn't like it when you batton your knife.
***Just to clarify, this is sarcasm for anyone who hasn't picked up on that. I did this to illustrate how silly it is to get mad (like Hitler, lol) at somebody because they choose to baton their knife. If you'll notice, Hitler's arguments have no fact behind them. Just like those who get upset when they see someone "abuse" their knife. A lot of the words I put in Hitler's mouth here came directly from people who get upset at people who beat on their knife. How about this, instead of caring what other people do with their stuff (whether it's a knife or axe) how about you and I just do what we do and leave them to it?
Now I'm off to bust some wood up with my knife. Sorry Grandpa.

I have to say, no matter how many topics I see this subtitled to, I always laugh. It simply works for everything!


The Magpull shortage one is awesome.

The ARC video (for the Bushmaster's jacked up price on the Magpull designed ARC is also nearly tear inspiring to me!)
 
That was great. First time I had seen that clip subtitled and it fit perfectly. Very amusing.
