Hitler Youth Style Knife

Hi

I don’t think it’s a fake, but it not a real Hitler Youth Knife. It’s very close to the original and they are still made (not very expensive). They are used as a scout’s knife. The symbol on the handle is a French Lily. The symbol is use by a scout’s organization at least in Denmark.

Carl, you're right. I mistakenly thought it had a swatstika where the french Lily is, I didnt look close enough.
 
I know its not a hitler youth knife, its just that I haven't been able to find much info about hoffritz making this knife. I know "Hoffritz For Cutlery"'s general background but I can't really tell how old it is or if it is a reasonably decent knife... thanks for the responses..

I saw Mr. Levine speaking about these in my search, how would I contact him?
 
The blade and handle design of these knives make them very good hunting/camping knives. The one I had in the 1960's had an odd handle construction. The handle was sort of a frame that surrounded a small stick/flap tang.
 
A good resourse for information on German knives is the forum at www.knifeshop.com. This is an Austrian knife site. Martin and Romo are very knowledgeable when it comes to German knives. There are other collectors on the forum that may also be able to help with your question.
