Well, Wild, today I cut firewood. The BLM did some trimming and left slash piles. Not the big commercial piles logging interests or ranchers leave, but small twisted clumps. Sometimes you can gather several decent logs fast, precut Pick Up size. Other times there's a nasty twisting of branches and collectable material. You have to fight for it. I use a heavy Villager, 20" and 2.5 pounds or so. I trim the branches and chuck the wood into Beater Truck.
I wish I could post pictures of this Villager. I've smashed the living hell out of it. Really, no mercy. It is starting to look like Beater Truck, but like the vehicle, just keeps on running good.
Like Beater too, there are many dings and dents. Beater is a 71 Ford with a crushed passenger fender, chicken wired head lamp, and the kind of steering where you herd the thing down the road rather than drive. The Villager looks similar.
