I just picked one of these up today at GPK. After picking up a Boker Hyper last week, I decided to get back into framelocks, and the Conspiracy is the cheapest titanium framelock I know of. The first one of these I handled had a lock that was so sticky it was unsuable. GPK returned it rather than pass it off on someone. I went through three Conspiracies today and all were very smooth. I could open and close them with very little effort. The blade, 9Cr13Mov, is very sharp out of the box. I am guessing that 9Cr13Mov is higher carbon than the regular 8cr13mov which should make it harder and able to go longer between sharpenings. If 8cr13mov is close to AUS8, I am guessing that 9cr13mov is in the ballpark of AUS10 which is pretty good steel (I had a steel frame Native with this years ago.)

Overall, I am impressed with the Conspiracy's fit and finish. I love the 3d G10 scale, it has super traction. This knife is 6.3 oz. but it honestly feels like a 4.5-5 oz. knife. It is a really wide handled knife that is fairly thin. It fills the hand and fits pretty comfortably in my pocket. Once again, I am impressed with this knife's fit and finish, and it really strikes me as a nice poor man's alternative to a Zero Tolerance style framelock since the price is $65 before taxes. I'll post some picks later.

I was looking at those too - what is the coating like in person? Paint like?

I love mine. Great knife for the price. Feel, fit and finish is very good. The coating is standard Benchmade black coating and I like it just fine.

I would like to note that theConspiracy is actually longer than the what the specs say. It is really about 8.25" overall instead of 7.55". These Chinese knives are killing! If they truly start using premium steels, folks in the USA and Japan will need new
jobs for sure.

One minor annoyance is that this knife does not come with a HK microfiber bag like an American HK. $65 is not big money, but it is enough that an owner might to keep it clean and scuff free when not in use.

Here are some pictures. The lock should last a good long time considering where it is new.

enjoy it, thanks for sharing with us.

i got one a little while back. pretty good knife for the price point....but i found the lock design interesting compared to my other frame lock knives, both higher end and lower end. the lock seems solid now...wonder how it will do after some long term use.....?

only touches the lock bar in the very, very front and only a teeny tiny section, verified by the mark on the titanium lockbar. course i'm no engineer, so maybe it's enough, but maybe it's not? guess use and time will tell.

My guess is that lock will wear in alright. The first one I ever tried locked so tightly, I could not unlock at all. Time wil tell, but I think the way it is currently set will hold up over time.

A lot of frame locks are designed like that. If you go through Marthinius' posts, he has a great one on why that is.

I agree - I have and have seen a lot of high end frame locks with a small contact point at the high point of the lockbar when the lockbar is facing up.
