hmm...can't edit major spam posts outside my own forum?

I just banned a guy as I was told to do when I came across major spam stuff. Not only was the guy spamming, but he posted a pic no one in their right mind needed to see. I assumed I could edit the post for reasons like that, but I can't. Is this something that can be implemented in the future for strict cases like major spam since any mod can ban for major spam? I just think it would be helpful for future idiots that spam and post some graphic porn pic or some other crazy nonsense. The guy's gone, so that takes care of that, but that f-ed up pic is still out there til another mod sees it and edits it out.

Pretty sure that's a major trolling, most likely a banned member with an attitude.
Yes, we "reds" don't have edit control outside of our sub-forums, but that nasty pic does make a good case for finding a way to remove the seriously offensive stuff quickly...

What has been seen...cannot be unseen. :barf:

My nephew was looking online with me and almost saw that post, you guys should be able o get rid of an inappropriate post or t he very least move it to the cove area.

Yea. Definitely have to bleach my eyes out after seeing that. I'm guessing someone on the back end that's higher up will probably consider this for a future forum software update.

EDIT: That's another thing reds cannot do. We can't move posts around outside our own subforum that we moderate. Right now the only thing we can do is ban users for stuff like that. That is a great idea though.

I sent one of the Supers an email. Hopefully he sees it quickly, but usually there is one on almost all the time so it shouldn't be up for long.

That was pretty horrible and I am sorry one of you all will have to go back to it to edit or move it.

A wandering troll. Found an uglt knife pic and went looking for a knife forum to post on. You can tell by the ignorant text he was hoping for trouble. Couldn't tell where he's from but someone with a partial match had other IPs from Denmark.

We've had too many instances of forum mods who got carried away and deleted material that should have been copied first for the record. I could maybe think of forum mods being able to move problem posts to the Back End, though.

That would work great. This way the reds can move offending posts to the forum where youngsters wouldn't have access.
