I'm trying to decide between 2 knives for my next purchase, a Spyderco Jester, or Buck 55.....
i love the classic lines of the "Mini 110", it's a classic blade, classy, good looking, sharp, and based on a simple, reliable, proven design
problem is, i already have all the pocketknives i "need", i have a Buck 110, a plain edge Native, a combo edge Endura, and [Gollum]My Precioussss knifeses[/Gollum] a Dyad Jr, so i don't *need* another pocketable knife...
the Dyad rides in my right front pocket, next to my Fenix L1 and iPod Nano, the Native is clipped to my left front pocket, and the Endura rides in my Nite-Ize Pock-Its holster with my SureFire 6P
the other contender is a Spyderco Jester, it'll replace the Buck Metro on my keyring (Sabre pepper spray kubaton, got it primarily so i won't lose my keys, hard to misplace a 4" long aluminum tube, partially for the cool gadget factor....), the Buck Metro's a nice little knife, but a bit lacking in the blade department (both length (1 1/8") and steel quality (or lack thereof, 420J2) ), and the Jester would be the replacement for the Metro, longer blade, higher quality steel
so, what'd be the better bet for the next knife? i like 'em both, but don't want to purchase both, so the Flashaholic Mantra ("Buy both") doesn't apply here
