Got a little money from a recent sale and am looking at these 2 swaybacks. One one hand the classic Chestnut is timeless and on the other hand the stag is gorgeous as well! Only 1 for now...

I got the chesnut because it was available in CV, which I like a lot better than Case's "Tru-Sharp" stainless. It's a really nice colour.

As much as I appreciate stag, I'd go with chestnut. For some reason it just seems "right" on this pattern.

Just picked up a chestnut today. A bit to small for me I think, but the F&F seems nice.

The stag's nice, but I'd go with the chestnut because of the CV blade steel.

If its going in the display case, get the stag/ss combo.
If it going in your pocket, get the bone/cv combo.

Stag because knife looks better with the rear bolsters. the CV/SS debate doesn't trouble me at all. I have Case knives in both and both work just fine.

Chestnut, one of CASE's best scales and this small knife looks a lot better Barehead in my view(most knives do...)

I recently picked up the Chestnut and really like it. Nice little gentleman's blade.

Thanks for the comments. I am in the Chestnut/CV camp this time around. Nothing says I can't pick up some stag next time.....:)

I have 4 of the Chestnut Bone / CV. My answer should be clear. :)
