Looks like stripped RMD with new handles (perhaps some sort of home made burlap micarta) and forced patina, I'd say vinegar after some previous use patina.

I thought it looked strange! My original post was something like "Either thats a RMD that had the scales removed and new ones put on,, or thats a,,, ahem"
Then I felt bad for calling it a fake,, so I just asked him if he removed the scales...

Would it be out of line to mention something to the Mods? Normally if it were a Busse I would email Jerry,, who would you email at the Swamp?
Then again,,, he wasn't trying to sell it as a RMD,,, even though it seems to be a blatant RMD copy... thoughts??
