For some reason I really like these Hmong knives. I bet they'd be great for slicing and cutting in the kitchen or camp site.
Plus they just look cool and that's most important of all.

Very nice! Just had my truck towed home and a thousand dollars later im busted till payday again! The horn sure looks great on it tho! Most Ive seen are wood. Somebody gonna be happy with that one for sure!

The blade profile is a lot like the Aranyik Knife from Thailand. I have one of those; it's an absolute beast.

Presumably these designs tend to migrate from one place to another within a broad region with similar environmental and cultural conditions.

I can't find pics of mine, but this shows what they look like.

Yangdu showed me her Hmong knife and it wasn't nearly as large as these posted. It was love at first sight for me. It's quite ornate which I could do without but perfect size.

The size of the Hmong piece reminds me of the 2 mid sized M-43s I have (15 inch length). Looking back at my pieces is helping to calm my urges to buy this one... but just a little bit.... the Hmong handle is so elegant....oy!
