I can't believe no one else has made a thread on this yet. I guess YouTube, IG, and Facebook are the places to be nowadays. I'm posting this because I'm pissed and feel that if we work together it'll be the only way we can see some results in this situation. I bought a Jake Hoback Knives-Husky, a few weeks back, maybe a little over a month and a half ago from REC. Never would I have spent that much money on an imported knife. He was having OEM work in China so what did the knives cost him a piece maybe $150-$250. Sharp by Design gets his stuff made by Reate and charges consumers $300-$375, and he's doing smaller batches so it's more expensive for him. ( And he in no way ever hid the fact that his customs US made, his production runs China made) Now Hoback has been pumping them out lately with the Sumo, Husky, Summit, and some little fixed blades that were all made in China so he's paying next to nothing, but charging us USA made prices. High US prices at that over a hundred dollars more than a Hinderer, or Chris Reeve. Come on man and if there are any lawyers out there isn't it illegal to not mark country of origin somewhere on product or packaging. I don't know about anybody else but I want a refund from Hoback, and I think if enough of us get together we can get it. But so far my messages to company have gone unanswered.
