Hobbit Fang...Satin ATS-34?

Today, I received a Hobbit Fang (my 2nd one) that I traded one of my Cold Steel knives for. (His loss, my gain...

.).

I REALLY like these little knives.

(I have one set-up as a neck knife, and the
other one is set-up for IWB carry.).

I have read somewhere that the Fang is/was also offered in satin ATS-34 steel. Is this TRUE?

Yes, they are great little knives! I've got one in ATS-34 but it is a black blade. Did you get the Carnivour back yet? Hope Bob got it all tweaked for you.

I've seen pics of the ATS version, but it was coated.
The eye is one the opposite side of the blade from the 1095 versions.

I haven't even sent the Carnivour to Bob yet for "tweaking". It's sitting in my knife-drawer, waiting 'till after the Blade-Show is over, so he's not quite so busy. It WILL be making the cross-state trip to Colville, WA to Bob...Eventually.

Hey Glockman99, glad you like the Fang, but I think you're BS'n us. You told me the second Fang was for your wife.... busted!

You're allowed to admit it if you buy a blade for your wife from time to time, I came close to losing my newly aquired Kestrel Auto when my wife saw it. She thought it was cute....

I love the design of the Fang too but blade coatings annoy me for heavy users, IMHO nothing beats plain bare steel. REKATS are still at the top of my list though.

Scratches drive me crazy!! Now if I could get one in Satin ATS-34 I'd jump on it!!

...Since we are dreaming about what we want from REKAT in the way of a Hobbit Fang, I'd like a stonewashed one in D-2 Enhanced steel.

(And I'd even make the drive over to Idaho to pick-up the 1st one directly from REKAT!.
