I was reorganising my gun safe, wherein I store some knives as well.
I used to shoot a lot of pistol, both combat style, and NRA contemplative/precision paper punching.
My favorite was bowling pins though! 5 pins off the table with my .44 in under 4 seconds! Loved speed shooting!
My guns have been sitting still for a lot of years now. But what is this?? A small knife roll, hiding behind some zippered pistol cases!
5 knives in there, two quite interesting! Small knives.
Empire Knife Company. I acquired them after I finished up the Empire Collection, which I subsequently sold years later. But I don't remember putting these little knives in such an inaccessible place?
Something strange going on here!!

A small curved jack with a blade that is a cross between a Wharncliffe and a Sheepfoot. This knife is only 2 15/16" long, but feels powerful and competent! Great striated blackwood handles. You photographers would have fun with the wonderful grain lines. Dandy snap all three ways. Small!

And then there is its little buddy . .err budder! Budder and Grafter!! I've never seen an upswept point on a B&G, let alone any folding knife! And it is thin. The grind is right to the edge (no bevel), and razor sharp! 2 7/8" plus a 1 1/8" ivory spud.

Some little person or being was trying to make off with these small knives - I'm sure of it!
:D

Nice, I really like that top one. That blade shape with the crescent nick looks very handy indeed.

A while ago when the house was being extended I thought about stashing a couple of knives inside the walls for someone to find way in the future. But I'm a greedy little miser and could not bring myself to do it.
Finding those two would have been a pleasant surprise :)

I love wharncliffes, swayback curves, full bellied blades, blackwood...... Dang man those nearly check off every box on the list!! Thanks for sharing.

Both of these are very interesting, Charlie! Look at the old drawn swedgges! Neato!

Two interesting knives Charlie

Glad you like them, gents! Thanks for the nice comments.
They are tiny, but surely punch above their weight.
Competent little buggers, nicely made, like all those Sheffield-influenced Empires.
Empire was located in Winsted, CT, and these were found in Winsted by a friend I have there.

More great knives - almost certain that it was the Hobbits!

Better catch up on the .44 practice, not sure the mask will do anything to keep them at bay !!

:D:D

Great knives Charlie as usual. Here is a little gem I picked up marked C.C.C. Little Valley NY it's 2 5/8" closed. My smallest Catt and the only one I have marked this way. First one I have ever seen.

Great knives, Charlie! The little budder is amazing. They must have been crafted by Fëanor;)
