Well, my wish came thru, and after shoveling enough snow today to make a small ski resort, I have enough "spending money" to have purchased my first REKAT product.

I ordered the piece the other day, and should be receiving it tommorow, weather permitting...

I would like any info that may help me better appreciate my new Black-T Pocket Hobbitt. I am an engineer, and I like to know about the things I buy, and I like to think that I have a decent understanding of things mechanical.

Please fill me in on the routine procedures used to ensure long life, proper sharpening, and cleaning/lock mechanism care.

Are there any other "sheaths" available right now? Will the top serrations chew the hell out of my nylon setup?

Thanks!
Steve

God's choices in inflicicting suffering are unsatisfactory to us, nor are they understandable, unless innocence offends him. Clearly he needs some help in directing the blind fury with which he flogs the earth...

Congrats, Dangelo. The serrated side of the blade should be fully enclosed inside of the knife so shredding shouldn't be a problem. Finding a nylon sheath to accomodate the PH, now that's a problem. Did you order pocket clip or with quick-draw sheath? Again, congrats are in order.

DANGELO, where did you buy your REKAT? I haven't found that many vendors that carry the REKAT's. Or maybe, I'm just looking in the wrong places. Thanx for your input.

I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.

Big Tex, not trying to cut in on Dangelo's response but Discount Knives, Knife Outlet and Knifecenter all carry REKAT. Hope this helps. Disregard if you wanted a walk-in type of establishment as these are internet retailers.

Thanx P9
