  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I just Picked up new in the Box, Cheyenne Corporation Knife Model No. 273 Fin Wing. it is a fixed Blade with Sheath, Blade marked Cheyenne Fin Wing and marked Japan. sheath marked Cheyenne.
Cheyenne Corporation
3096 Agoura Road Suite 311
Westlake Village Calif 91361

from what i found out digging onine:

What i have found so far is that Mr Hoffman started the company in 1974 but had to change the Company Name to Lakota after they found out that Schrade company had knife in their line called Cheyenne.
Cheyenne first order placed with Seigo Kanematsu in Japan.

But i can not seem to find out how many were sold if any with the Cheyenne Name ? or have i got a prototype or preproduction sample? do not see any on line for sale?

Found no information to answer your specific question. I did find this Worthpoint page:

Vintage LAKOTA Fin Wing Game Hunting Fixed Blade KNIFE My web search revealed that this vintage hunting knife was designed by Phillip Hoffman in the 1970's for the Cheyenne Corporation. Condition :

Since this one isn't "new in the box" I assume it isn't yours. That means there is at least one other out there.

I also found several "Hawk" model knives with the Cheyenne mark.
