Hog hunt is done

Hunt complete. I had a freaking outstanding time!!! The hunt was a success for all three of us. My dad, uncle and myself. Both my dad and uncle took 300 pound sows and I got a de-nutted razorback boar in excess of 320. Great thing about a castrated boar is you still get a great mount but the meat is just as good to eat, like a sow. I am posting pics on my photobucket account now so you can check them out. For now here is just me and my pig. I do have to say these SOB's are tough. It took a .308 to the neck from 60 yards and had no exit wound. 165 grain trophy bonded bullet could not even get out on a quartering too shot!!!

Yea it was a guided, high fence hunt. They have razorback and Russian hogs. Hundreds of acres for these hogs to tear up. I hunt feral's as well. I just wanted a bigger hog with some nice tusks to mount, oh and not to forget the well over a hundred pounds of meat I got in the freezer. The outfitter is here in MO about a hour and a half away from the house.

congrats on your hunt, Those hogs are beasts we got hog problem here in texas. Im envious you got a nice big one.
 
I'd love to do a Texas hog hunt! I've just got to find a place to let me hunt the vermin!
 
I'll be going out soon for a guided dog and knife hunt here in Tx.

It's all paid for, just need to hook up with the guide and do it.

Hey, you're not too far from potosi are you? Some time soon my and my friends want to go feral hog hunting on a friends property.

There was a story on the news a few weeks ago about hogs finding their way into city parks in Dallas. They're out of control!
