Not sure how many of you know......there is iPhone

Personally I think it LOOKs ugly at the first sight. But, it is powerful enough that i am sold 100%

Just watch through the key note I felt I am already smarter.

When their stock will go down:confused: It is been going up since 2001 when the first iPod introduced to the world.

Take a look....finally a REAL wonder phone in our palm & finger tips.

you can't just read the spec, you really have to go through the keynote video.

It's overwhelmed right now, so i can't check it out... But I'm interested.

I'm all verklempt. How many whacks with a FBM to get it to break?

(Dang that thing is big. I'll take my regular phone plus a Nano.)

Thought I was in knife forum and wound up in cell phone forum:confused:

Kidding, but will keep my phone, can buy nice Busse for the price of Iphone.:)

My experience is that Cingular service blows.

I hear that their data plans are too expensive and their data transfer speed isn't very high.

If Apple makes an Iphone for Sprint or Verison, or Cingular does a major network upgrade, I'll get one.

The interesting thing is going to be the teardown. That's when someone opens it up and figures out who's chips are in it.

It doesn't do anything for Apple but any company that has a chip in there is going to see a bump in their stock price (I might be holding one of those stocks).

I can't wait to get one in my grubby little hands... I carry a ipod everywhere, and I'm always looking for the perfect phone.... went through 4 phones last year and 2 ipods. This puts everything you need or could want in one place and I think it looks great :D

This puts everything you can loose into one place. :D

I wonder if it will be as plagued with scratches as some of their other products. That will be more of a problem with a device that relies entirely on its screen.

I wonder what the battery situation is like, will the owner be able to replace it or do you have to send it in and get a refurbed one.

yah i was also wonder how long the battery life is. I bet if you listen to music and do alot with your phone it will not be very long.

I saw a news release on that yesterday. I've been wanting an iPod, so figure I'll just wait and kill two birds with one phone. :D

My 30GB Video iPod + tiny Samsung cellphone (t-mobile) together are cheaper, smaller, lighter, higher capacity, and sturdier than this single POS.

No sale!!! I'd rather spend that $599 + poor Cingular service on an FBM LE. :D

I have read some speculation about the processor inside the Iphone.

One of the rumors sounds a lot like a conspiracy theory but it fits with what I have heard.

If I'm right about the part that I think is inside (not the processor, another part), Apple is going through every circuit to reduce power and increase battery life.

Also they are not shy about added expense because they eventually get their money back through Itunes.

With that said, the battery life still looks like a potential problem. Their Iphone is only 5% larger (volume) than the smallest smart phone on the market but it has a much larger screen and wifi.

I think the real test will be streaming a movie over wifi. If it can do a full two hour movie without killing the battery, I'll be impressed but it won't be practical as a cell phone if it doesn't have enough juice left for organizer use and 45 miuntes of talk time.

Hahaha, I was so glad that they did not choose Tmobil! Then you will know what really blows! (no bias here, I am currently a T. user and contract still 1 and half year to go :( )

The decision on Cingular is, Globle! Idea of globlization with power of captialism. GSM system is here to stay. The whole world is driven widely use GSM system. Going spring or verizon may have better, but apple is after bigger fish. To sell this unit through out the world just like how they did with iPod. Spring & Cingular only works in US, no real money here.

Apple is doing much better after iPod. The big sell product now allow them to reach out! More PC friendly. Coolness of iPod, there are actually a lot of ppl became apple convert! With this phone, there will be another apple convert.
(ha, but apple still suck with ent. I am a apple user because i hv to for work. Going home still use mac, hell no. Still like to see how a company grow.)

I will get one when they become available. A 2 Mpixel camera, contact list, Safari Browser, Google maps, QWERTY keyboard and pod casts works for me. I dunno about Busse though. Maybe the case is made from INFI???

Drue

yeah i sat and watched the entire presentation today, the only bad thing is its via cingular, and i despise them..... but i may have to switch over, i have owned just about every 'smart phone around and dont like any of them..... including the treo 750...

they said 5 hours of talk/web time..... 16 hours of audio....
