Just posted this in the BLADE thread, but thought a new thread serving as an announcement might be better for this in an effort to save the HOGs some buxx. :)

Folks, I just got a tasty rate to BLADE. $176.30 fees/taxes incl. (not baggage fee). Seems that there's an airfare sale going on, got the tipoff from airfarewatchdog.com a little while ago. Booked my flight, saved over $50 compared to my last year's flight price. If you're flying, now's a good opportunity to check into booking your flight. :thumbup:

Damn I wish I could fly there for $176-00! My fare cost a little more than that!:D

I switched departments and Blade week already had somebody off on vacation and they only allow 1 person off at a time. Looks like another year and another no show for me. :(

BTW, folks, although most airlines have ended this round of cheaper airfare deals, it seems that AirTran & USAirways are still continuing their sale, at least for one more day (today). If I booked right now on the same Delta flights I reserved 2 days ago, my flight price would now be $256.30... $80 more! :eek:
 
There was an article a few months ago in the WSJ that offered the tip that reduced domestic air fares tend to be offered on Tuesday nights, and are gone in just a few days. This is because many domestic customers don't sit at their computers to look for flights until the weekend. I think we just proved that.

I have 5 (2) room suites booked at Sheraton for THurs, Fri, and Sat nights of blade. Its about $450 for the three nights. One room has king bed, tv, and bath, and other room has tv, fridge, microwave, and fold out sofa so its big enough for family or to split.
