Hello! I've only been on the Blade Forum for a couple of days and am still learning my way around. I'm wondering how many of Jerry's creations it takes to qualify as a hog? I just received my third Busse in the mail (a straight BM), however I have given my BM-E to a son's friend who is on his way to Iraq, so I am back to two. I figured at this point he will need it more than I do. In fact I scored the straight BM just after the giveaway. Needless to say he is happy about the gift. My next want is a Fusion Steel Heart, but as always, money is in the way! Well nice ta meet'cha! Here's to a Merry Christmas to all and especially to all the young soldiers either "in country" or on their way there!

I would have to think that anyone who has given a Battle Mistress to a soldier heading to war has to qualify as an Honorary Hog For Life!

Actually it goes by poundage so about 70 pounds of Infi will do it!

I'd have to agree. You are an honorary hog, for life.

welcome, that was a great thing that you did, a great gift:thumbup:

hogdom is not really a great collection of busse knives.

becoming a hog is a combination of many things, some yet to even be discovered.

as you read this forum you will understand, as you are swept up in the love and caring brotherhood of busse knife owners.

only you will know when the force is with you, and only then the old hogs will take the wind and know you are there.....

and then, there will be a widening of the trough......

Yeah what Skunk said.... AND the ability to snatch infi from the trough before the other hogs get it. :D ;)

Puukko, Welcome to the trough!!

Being a Hog has less to do with the number of Busses you own than with:
  • the number of Busses you lust after and obsess over to the exclusion of ALL other thoughts and activities (note how Hogs tend to not have lives outside of INFI acquisition)
  • the number of life necessities you are willing to forego to obtain more INFI (beer, bourbon, and other libations are exempt from this)
  • the depths of depravity to which you will sink to bribe Busse personnel (especially Jerry, aka Boss Hog, who is BTW very bribe-able ;) ) to get you Busse bladeware ahead of the other Hogs

I can't believe that no one has told you about the pink tutu requirement! (Also known as the Garthabaloo.)

Sir, you are a very generous man...
Merry Christmas to you too...

I think after you've bought knives from the majority of HOGs, you become one. Anyone out there who I haven't bought from yet? :o

I'm not sure if I should say thanks for reminding me. Remembering the story of Chewbacon in a pink g-string is funny....yes disturbing.
Maybe scarred for life.

Well, thanks all. I appreciate the welcome! As far as the BM going to the troop, I just figured he will need it more than I will. I am sure I will enjoy my search for more INFI as time goes by. I appreciate the honorary hogdom also!

Great Post and also I don't want Fixer27 to win Jerry's contest with his trolling behavior. Come on everyone join in and ignore Fixer27's post.

And most importantly MERRY CHRISTMAS
