BB-

Here's what I found on http://www.bragg.army.mil/history/BeretHooahPatch/hooah.htm

"Hooah (who-a) adj, [slang used by soldiers, primarily infantry, airborne, rangers] referring to or meaning anything and everything except "NO".

Once heard mainly from infantry soldiers, hooah has spread throughout the Army over the years. Soldiers will continue to acknowledge a mission to be accomplished, a job well done, or any occasion imaginable with a loud, confident Hooah."

Also, I remember Al Pacino using it in Scent of a Woman.

Blade Babe,

Hooah in this case means gung-ho, or hard charger...... it's one of the best compliments you could get from my spec-ops brother! You should be flattered hon.

Yes BB, being named an honorary Hooah is a good thing. Although, before you accept the honor, you may want to ask about the initiation exercises and subsequent ceremony...;) Not for the squeamish

Beyond that, "Hooah" is the all purpose infantry/ranger/SF word and is integral to our vocabulary. In fact, you can say "hooah" to and about just about anything and be correct as long as you use the correct inflection in order to really signify your meaning.... Hooah?

Well I feel pretty darn special right now!!:D Thanks Ranger!! I may have to just join you and Jerry when you get together for that beer! ;) LOL!! That's if you don't mind hanging out with a chick! LOL!

Ranger,

I didn't know that a "Hooah" could be a "smooth move" but it has apparently worked on Blade Babe!!!  :D
