Well, I know I haven't been around nor have I been in the game for a long while, but here's an update. I am headed to Lynchburg, VA around Aug. 17, 2009 for college. Probably going to fly into Washington D.C. and Amtrak down to Lynchburg unless someone wants to give me a ride (Hint hint LOL) :D . After a bunch of hassles and hang ups on the loans and such, everything is squared away. Just packing and need to buy a plane ticket. So that's what has been going on with me lately and why I haven't attempted to get an AK hog get together cause I've been busy :D

So that's an update for those wondering and when I get some free time, maybe Thanksgiving time, we VA hogs could plan a trip to the Busse Compound?!? Long shot, but hey... You never know till you try. Amy, how's your turkey cookin' skills? :thumbup:

Anyways, still lurking around these days so...

KAAK

.

I have always wanted to try to make a Turduckin:thumbup:

but you need to talk to Jerry about coming to the compound..remember we are a closed shop:)

Good Luck on the move!!! and what are going to study at school?

All of my best,
Amy-0

You could just do a turkey fry in the parking lot :thumbup:

That would be interesting..Are you voluntering to do the frying:) cause it might be cold and I do not like the cold:p but I could supervise and bring side dishes:thumbup:

I'm a little bit far from Ohio, but I love a good turkey fry, and I have no problems cooking outside in the winter.

I could bring my smoker and slow-smoke that sucker for about 12 hours, instead :thumbup:

That sounds YUMMY:)

I LOVE to BBQ. Holidays like the 4th are my favorites, because I get to spend all day cooking outside, enjoying the weather and drinking beer. How can you go wrong? 9 degrees or 90 degrees, nothing beats the simple combination of dead animal and fire.

So true!!! :thumbup::thumbup:

Amy... I completely understand on the closed shop part. Was messin' with yah ;) If anything, I'd just get in the area and holler at the crew to join me for lunch or something. But seriously, if anyone is doing a hog gather for turkey day, let me know. Don't think I'll be flying home for Turkey Day, just Christmas break. Going to school to get my bachelor in religion. :thumbup::D

Take a Bull-Horn!!

Oh Lycosa...I am always just in "Awe" of your comments...actually it is more like "Shock in Awe" mostly shock when you post more than 4 words and.. awe when you do reply and I do not understand....

You my friend crack me up..keep doing what you do cause you make my day every day:):)

Lycosa you ROCK:thumbup::thumbup:

Kisses and Hugs,
Amy-0

That will be sweet. I have a buddy in Georgia and I could probably crash at his place. Hit up Blade show then fly out of Atlanta back to AK. :D Priorities are in order lol.

It will be nice to see four seasons again. Can't wait to hit up some good places to eat and see the surrounding states granted my schedule allows. I'm stoked and can't wait to see what the future holds.:thumbup:

Welcome to Verginnie!!!

If nothing else, we can maybe get a Va. HOG gathering together!

BTW, the humidity hasn't been bad last couple of years. Nothing like the true South, and darn arid compared to Florida!! ;)

Safe travels on the trip and welcome to the Lower 48 again! ;)

What will you miss most about bittercolduglywomen, AK?

Seeing moose in town, eagles, bears and the ability to enter the wild in 30 mins. But it's going to be nice to see civilization in full swing again regarding food and fun.
