Just got all 6 seasons of Hogan's Heros and they are done very well.
From the 60's but the video image is fairly sharp as is the colour.

It's a very slapstick kind of humour, I remember seeing them growing up
but not all of them, but now I have that chance of viewing them.

My youngest daughter is caught up with the characters and watches them
as much as I do, Sgt Schultz's character, John Banner, does extremely well
with his acting and timing of his lines, so funny. Of course the time of the
war was no laughing matter but it does lighten it up quite a bit.

6 seasons, a total of 168 episodes, now that is a lot of shows!!

I grabbed them a few at a time, should have saved some pennies and got
the box set of them all but lacked funds to do it that quick. Plus, figured that
I better try a couple first and see if they are as entertaining as I remembered them
and they are, liked the one where they convinced the gestapo that the war had
ended, he let the newly caught prisoners go and let them use his staff car to
get to town...too much!

I remember the series well.

I see no-THING, no-THING

Yeah, that's always the trick with the older shows. I used to love "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." and "Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea" when they were on, originally. Caught them both, late at night on TBS awhile back. :grumpy: They didn't age so well, shall we say. :) Oh, well.

that's an interesting paper there Trent!

and yes I picked up some older TV shows that just wasn't the same
so I was a little hesitant in getting all at once.

One was the Dr Who series with Tom Baker, just got the one season
but it wasn't the same, I know there are die hard fans, always liked Tom's
role in that too but just couldn't get into it again.

Another series that I did get and have all the series are the Wild wild West
those are great, the colour and quality of the video's are not near as good as
Hogan's Hero's but are great to watch just the same.

One of the most underrated shows in TV history. Hogan's Heroes is fantastic. Netwissen on utube has most of season 1 up. Good stuff.

Good ol' Col Klink and Sgt Schultz.
